| New York has an extensive
stocking program for Lake Erie and the rest of the state. While there
is limited amounts of successful natural reproduction of steelhead in New
York tributaries, there isn't enough to support an entire sport fishery.
Pictured below are two figures copied from the 2002 Lake Erie Unit Annual
Report to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission. The first gives 2001 stocking
information and the second gives historical stocking numbers. If
